Feline CKD Fluid Port

wrapped status: wrapped packet c8eb602a755a

Nothing on this page is a recommendation. It gathers what the packet already says into the order a decision reads it. Wrapped means finished enough to read, not judged.

The bet

An implanted port that lets an owner give a cat with kidney disease its fluids without a needle each time. Cats with chronic kidney disease need fluid under the skin several times a week, usually for the rest of their lives, and most owners do it at home with a needle and a bag. It is unpleasant for the cat and many owners skip sessions. This device is a small port placed under the skin in a short operation, with a soft perforated tube that spreads the fluid; the owner connects a pre-measured giving set to the port instead of inserting a needle. Its two design bets are a surface chemistry meant to keep the body from reacting to the implant over years, and a metered giving set that makes each session a fixed dose. There is no FDA (US Food and Drug Administration) premarket review for animal devices and no insurance — the owner pays.

What a decision does

  • Approve sets status: shortlisted — the only thing that lets /diligence start.
  • Reject or defer is recorded with your note; nothing further is unlocked.

Your decision

You are reading packet c8eb602a755a.

Deciding from this page is not built yet — it needs a signature only your own device can make, so that no agent can produce one. Until then a decision is recorded by engine/scripts/human_decision.py, run by you in your own terminal.
